I am the true vine, and my Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in me that does not bear fruit he takes away, and every branch that does bear fruit he prunes, that it may bear more fruit. (John 15:1-2)

I have a rosebush planted on the sunniest side of our house; every year during early Spring, it blooms several beautiful red roses. Every year, usually in the Fall, I cut (prune) the branches back, and every Spring, it seems to grow again with more branches (fuller, prettier than the year before). It is kind of like how the Lord allows storms to come in our lives; they hurt while we are in them, but through them, don’t we grow stronger?

Friends, are you going through a stormy time in your life? Stay attached to the Lord (the true vine). He will not only get you through the storms you are in, but He will also strengthen you through them. Would you join me in this prayer?

Heavenly Father, You know the beginning from the end. You ordain all things to work out for our good. Even in this storm I am going through, Father, I take heart because Jesus has overcome the world. Help me to draw strength from You and endure until I get to be with You in glory. There is a time for everything, a time for joy, and a time for weeping. I know that only Your Kingdom will last forever. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

God Bless and have a Blessed Day, Friends <><
