The Lord is our rock, our fortress, and our savior; our God is our rock, in whom we find protection. He is our shield, the power that saves us, and our place of safety. He is our refuge, our savior, the one who saves us from violence. We called on the Lord, who is worthy of praise, and He saved us from my enemies, Amen. (2 Samuel 22:2-4)

My quiet time with the Lord this morning had me reading in (2 Samuel 22). As I read (vs. 2-4), the question came to mind, “I wonder how heavy the world’s sins were on Christ’s shoulders as He was crucified on that cross?” As I pondered that weight, I was reminded that Christ bore that weight because He loves us so much.

Friends, how have you addressed sin in your life? Have you ignored it and swept it under the rug, or have you confronted it and laid it at the foot of Christ’s cross? If you find yourself weary from the struggles of sin in your life, remember Christ loves you, and He already bore that weight of your sins; release them to Him. Would you pray with me?

Lord God, my sins are many, and they have left many wounds. I have sinned against You, but I have also sinned against my fellow man. I have not loved Your Words and Commandments as I should. Lord, I ask that You reach out with Your healing hand and touch me. Take away all sins and all their effects from my whole being that I may uphold Your image in my life. Forgive me my trespasses, that I may learn to forgive others. Amen.

God Bless and have a Blessed Day, Friends <><
