When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you. (Isaiah 43:2)
This is a rhetorical question: Ever had one of those days that started challenging and continued to snowball throughout the day? I know the answer; we have all had them. As my challenging day (migraine headache and all) drew close, I noticed I had received a text message from my wife that I had not read yet. My wife’s message read:
“Ships do not sink because of the water around them. Ships sink because of the water that gets in them! Do not let what is happening around you get inside you and weigh you down!”
My wife’s message ended with (Isaiah 43:2) as a Scripture reference, which reads, “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you.”
What an encouraging and fitting word to end a challenging day on. I am very thankful to my wife for her encouraging words, as it came at a perfect time. Thank you, Bren!!
Friends, we will face challenging days, some seeming more difficult than others; amidst them, we must remind ourselves what (Ephesians 6:12) says, “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.” Do not let what is happening around us get inside us and weigh us down! Would you pray with me?
Father, I Love You, and I am going to go for it. I will keep going no matter how tough it gets. I will walk through the desert. No matter how hard things become, I believe in You and what You have in store for me. Amen.

God Bless and have a Blessed Day, Friends <><
