Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever. Oh, give thanks to the God of gods! For His mercy endures forever. Oh, give thanks to the Lord of lords! For His mercy endures forever:
To Him who alone does great wonders, For His mercy endures forever; To Him who by wisdom made the heavens, For His mercy endures forever; To Him who laid out the earth above the waters, For His mercy endures forever; To Him who made great lights, For His mercy endures forever — The sun to rule by day, For His mercy endures forever; The moon and stars to rule by night, For His mercy endures forever. (Psalm 136:1-9)
This morning as my devotional time with the Lord had me reading (Psalm 136:1-9), I was reminded of the days while raising our kids that we had to prompt our kids to open doors for other people, encourage them to wash their hands and brush their teeth, and remind them every day to clean their bedrooms. On some days, it seemed like all we were doing is prompting them.
I remember, more than anything else, having to remind our kids to say thank you constantly. And we prompted them the same way every parent in the history of the world prompted their kids. When we noticed that they might have missed an opportunity to say thanks, we would say to them, “What do you say?” When we said, “What do you say?” our kids knew that this was not a question; they knew the answer was, “Thank you.”
Friends, considering all that our Lord has done for us, we should thank God daily for His love, grace, and mercy no matter what is happening in our lives. Would you pray with me?
Father, Your love never fails. Even when I fail You, You love me all the same. Thank You for a love that never gives up on me. Thank You for the comfort of knowing that I am secure in the promise that nothing can ever separate me from Your love. I thank You for Your perfect love that seeks the best in my life. I am grateful for Your sacrificial love that did not withhold the Lord Jesus Christ from me. Thank You for sending Him to die on the cross so that I can truly realize that You love me immensely. You are good, and it is in Your Name I pray. Amen.

God Bless and have a Blessed Day, Friends <><
