Oh come, let us sing to the LORD; let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation! Let us come into his presence with thanksgiving; let us make a joyful noise to him with songs of praise! For the LORD is a great God, and a great King above all gods. In his hand are the depths of the earth; the heights of the mountains are his also. The sea is his, for he made it, and his hands formed the dry land.
Oh come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the LORD, our Maker! For he is our God, and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand. Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts, as at Meribah, as on the day at Massah in the wilderness, when your fathers put me to the test and put me to the proof, though they had seen my work. For forty years I loathed that generation and said, “They are a people who go astray in their heart, and they have not known my ways.” Therefore I swore in my wrath, “They shall not enter my rest.” (Psalm 95:1-11)
Have you ever met a celebrity, movie star, or sports hero of yours who left you starstruck? In 1993 at the Joe Lewis Area in Detroit, Michigan, I had the opportunity to meet the man who played my favorite sport (Hockey), his name is Gordie Howe. I found myself stunned in amazement as I shook his hand. Although he was just another man like me, he seemed larger than life to me.
As I read (Psalm 95) this morning, the question came to mind, “When was the last we have been starstruck before the Lord?” How long has it been since we have really seen God for Who He is, the great and Holy King that He is? How long has it been since we found ourselves totally and completely overwhelmed, speechless, and in awe of God? Has it been a while?
Psalm 95 serves as a reminder to us Who God is (vs.6-7) says, “Oh come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the LORD, our Maker!” It brings us to our knees in gratitude and awe. Take time right now to worship our Lord in Spirit and truth. Focus on His greatness and unbelievable wisdom, power, and grace. Believe that He is the Good Shepard Who loves us and wants what is best for us. The Cross proves it. May we ask God to open our ears and soften our hearts to hear His voice and obey.
Friends, God takes no pleasure in people who harden their hearts to Him. However, He takes great pleasure in those who willingly bow their knees to His Will and ways. Would you pray with me?
Father, I am in awe of the depth of Your riches, both in wisdom and knowledge! How unsearchable and unfathomable are Your ways! For who has known Your mind, or who has been Your counselor? Or who has ever given to You that You should repay him? For from You and through You and to You are all things given. It is to You, my loving and eternal Father, that I give praise and glory forever. Amen.

God Bless and have a Blessed Day, Friends <><
