Oh sing to the LORD a new song; sing to the LORD, all the earth! Sing to the LORD, bless his name; tell of his salvation from day to day. Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous works among all the peoples! For great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; he is to be feared above all gods. For all the gods of the peoples are worthless idols, but the LORD made the heavens. Splendor and majesty are before him; strength and beauty are in his sanctuary.
Ascribe to the LORD, O families of the peoples, ascribe to the LORD glory and strength! Ascribe to the LORD the glory due his name; bring an offering, and come into his courts! Worship the LORD in the splendor of holiness; tremble before him, all the earth! Say among the nations, “The LORD reigns! Yes, the world is established; it shall never be moved; he will judge the peoples with equity.”
Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice; let the sea roar, and all that fills it; let the field exult, and everything in it! Then shall all the trees of the forest sing for joy before the LORD, for he comes, for he comes to judge the earth. He will judge the world in righteousness, and the peoples in his faithfulness. (Psalm 96)
Have you ever wondered what true worship is? I think (Psalm 96) gives us an answer (or blueprint) to that question. When we worship, we are thoroughly engaging. We are opening our mouths and singing (for me, that means to make a joyful noise). As we are singing, we proclaim the good news of salvation and unashamedly declaring His glorious Name and power. While we sing, we get our hearts right and rejoice in God, acknowledging that He is the righteous Judge Who is coming again.
Moreover, I believe that true worship is filled with excitement and joy simultaneously as we are focusing on Who God truly is and what He has done for us. I also believe that those who genuinely worship are changed as they experience a fresh encounter with our living God.
Friends, if you desire a fresh new touch from God today, (Psalm 96:9) suggests that you “Worship the LORD in the splendor of holiness; tremble before him, all the earth!” Would you pray with me?
Heavenly Father, I desire to learn how to worship You as You deserve. Lord, help me grow into the sort of worshipper you are seeking, one who worships You in spirit and truth. I pray that my life may honor You in all I say and all I do, in all the circumstances of life, throughout the day and as I drift into sleep at night. Lord, I pray that I may learn to walk in all of Your ways, serve with all of my being, and learn to love You as You have loved me. Teach me, Lord, how to worship You in the beauty of holiness so that I may bow my heart before You in spirit and truth, to Your honor and glory. In Jesus’ Name, I pray, Amen.

God Bless and have a Blessed Day, Friends <><
