GRIEF SHARE GROUP begins on Thursday, Jan 18th 10:30 am – 12:00.  ALL ARE WELCOME TO ATTEND! This positive group will meet weekly for 13 weeks and give you excellent tools from the Bible on how to heal from the pain of grief and loss.  The cost will be $2.00 each week to pay for the workbooks IRSC will supply for each participant.  The DVD’s shown are filled with Counselors, Leaders who have gone through the pain of grief/loss and encourage us in our journey of grief.  Seats are limited, please call/sign up at IRSC.  IRSC is located behind the Wawa on Route 113, on 214 Irons Ave., Millsboro, DE 19966 302-934-8839  indianriverseniorcenterde.com.

The L.E.A.P. organization (Literacy Education Assistance Pups) announces training sessions at the Greenwood Library for you and your dog to prepare to become a reading therapy team. The sessions are scheduled from 6-7pm on the following Thursday evenings: April 5, 12 and 19.

The dog must be at least one year old, pass a temperament test given the first session of the series, and attend all three training sessions. Current vet records need to be provided and a background check for the handler is required. The handler must be at least 18 years old and pay annual dues of $30. The L.E.A.P. (Literacy Education Assistance Pups) program at the Greenwood Library offers a chance for children to come and practice their reading and have a tail-waggin’ good time! The dogs and their handlers are members of L.E.A.P, or Literacy Education Assistance Pups, a volunteer group based in Lewes, Delaware. Each dog is eagerly waiting an opportunity to provide an inviting and fun atmosphere for children to practice their reading skills. This program is free and open to all children.
