Morning General Session Key Note Speaker: Richard Chilvers – “Can you worship while you work?”

Richard has been in the Audio/Visual industry for over 45 years – starting in England as a studio engineer and then as engineer and producer of a wide range of Christian radio programs which were aired worldwide.
In 1979, with his wife and their two children, Richard moved to the United States where he started and ran several subsidiaries of British audio product manufacturers and then formed his own company specializing in professional audio products. In 2000, he became the Senior Product Specialist for a leading manufacturer in the professional Audio Video industry.
More recently, he has been doing various Voice Over projects; including writing, voicing and production. He says “I am thrilled to be asked again to speak at the 2019 Worship and Production Conference.
Previous events have been extremely worthwhile and I look forward to contributing once more”.

Afternoon General Session Key Note Speaker: Industry Legend Bill Thrasher – “What I see and hear in church today”

Evaluation and commentary on the current status of modern worship.
Bill began working in the audio industry as a recording studio mixer while attending high school. After the one year of college, he toured for six years with touring musical groups as their audio mixer and at times, also their road manager. In 1980, Bill accepted a staff position at Walt Disney World, Orlando, Florida. Late that same year, he was promoted to an Audio Specialist position with principal design responsibilities for the
Florida based Live Entertainment division. These responsibilities included Audio Systems Design, Production Audio Design, and Audio Systems Operators and Technicians Training for the Florida Live Entertainment Division, and any Walt Disney Productions Special Events produced in Florida. Independent work eventually became full-time and led Bill to the creation of his own business, which was relocated to the Atlanta area in 1987.
While at both MobilSound and Walt Disney World, Bill was involved in the teaching and training of audio technicians both in the field and in formal classroom style seminars. He has since been very active in audio technician training for churches both in small groups and in larger classroom style seminars. Bill’s expertise in the design and operation of audio systems is based on his personal mixing of over 3,000 live presentations for the entertainment industry, Churches and Christian Ministries including the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, and his designs of many permanent and portable installations.
Bill has written articles for “Church Production Magazine, “Soundcheck/Clarity” Magazine, “Your Church” Magazine, contributed to the “Guide to Sound Systems for Worship”, edited by Jon Eiche and published by Hal Leonard Publishing Company, and has written for the Synergetic Audio Concepts (Syn-Aud-Con)
Bill was nominated and selected for inclusion in the first and second editions of Who’s Who in Entertainment (1989-1991). In 2006, Bill was awarded one of the five annual “Instructor of the Year” awards, for his System Design teaching at the NSCA University, which was held in conjunction with the NSCA Expo in Las Vegas, NV.

At the end of 2015, Bangs was added to the roster to support the unique needs of touring professionals on the groundbreaking new dLive mix system.
