Rodney Baylous was born in South Boston, Virginia. He attended Liberty University where he studied broadcast communications and had the opportunity to teach broadcasting courses at Liberty.
He started in radio at the age of 17 and has worked in broadcasting for almost 29 years at stations in Virginia, Pennsylvania and Maryland (most recently at WOLC Joy 102.5 in Princess Anne).
Rodney is married to Lisa for over 24 years. They have two children; Courtney who is currently a junior at Salisbury University studying Elementary Education with a focus on Special Education; and Tyler who is a Sophomore in high school. Completing their family are Baxter and Bella… their adorable miniature schnauzers!
Rodney is living his dream! He knew at a very young age that he wanted to be involved in some type of broadcasting and had a real interest in radio.
Little known facts about Rodney are that if he hadn’t gone into broadcasting he wanted to be a teacher. He loves being outside working in the yard with landscaping and planting flowers.
