Mark Hall, Casting Crowns

Mark Hall, lead singer of Casting Crowns talks with Bill Sammons and Denise Harper on The Morning Show. The three reflect on meeting at CMB Momentum 2017 in Florida just as Hurricane Irma headed toward the Florida Keys. Sunday, October 8th, 2017 at 7:00 PM – Casting Crowns comes to Salisbury, MD for The Very Next Thing Tour with Zach Williams. For a band that travels so much – they still manage to make it to church almost every Sunday!

Mark Hall is the lead vocalist for the Georgia-based contemporary Christian music group Casting Crowns, a seven-member group composed entirely of youth pastors. Casting Crowns began as a student worship band! Mark Hall was the lead singer/songwriter and youth pastor.

Mark’s fundamental message is: “I want to shake people up and help them see that Jesus is not a religion, and God is not a book,” Hall says. “You can’t pray to a book and you can’t draw strength from an idea or standard. If there’s no relationship with Jesus as a person to you, you’re in trouble. It’s about life, not religion. It’s about relationships, not books.”

You can review the band’s storied history in Christian Music, browse their discography, and gain access to other resources at the Casting Crown’s website. https://www.castingcrowns.com
